DaveP, I never see the Level 6 component, can you describe what is the package look like, ie high pin count PBGA, component thickness? DaveF, if we can store the components in the dry environment say below 10%, can we stop the floor life clock after

The part is a high pin count PBGA with an integrated ceramic heatsink. What I am trying to understand is how to handle this part in production. It seems as though you would have to have an oven very near your SMT line, pulling a few trays of parts

6 layer board and routing bga package

Electronics Forum | Thu Feb 11 07:24:40 EST 2016 | truewanderer

I'm planning to design the pcb of my project. The controller used is having 136 pins and the package is P-LFBGA. So i think i need to design a 6 layer board for better performance. I haven't designed a multi layer board before. So what are things tak

Problems with Maxim TQFN 38 pin part

Electronics Forum | Tue Mar 13 17:29:18 EDT 2007 | Oswaldo Rey

I placed a Maxim MAX16810 38 pin TQFN with a power pad ground on the bottom of the chip on a prototype board FR4 doble sided. Vias of 0.6 mm where placed underneath part, 6 vias in total. Solder was placed with an air operated syringe, land pattern w

A bit off-topic - pin cutting

Electronics Forum | Mon Jan 04 15:40:31 EST 2010 | dilogic

We recently got a job where (after placing SMT parts) we have to solder LED dot-matrix 8x8 display modules manually on the pcb. Due to the PCB design, it has to be TH type (also, it's the only type available) and soldered manually (or using selective

DEK fine pitch autoflex pin breakage

Folks, I think we are getting closer to being very happy with DEK stencil printers of the 265 GSX variety. However, problems continue arising concering fine pitch autoflex tooling pin breakage. We are told by the British engineering establishment,

Samtec Searay 500 pin connector solder wicking issue after reflow

Electronics Forum | Tue Jan 14 11:39:51 EST 2020 | avillaro2020

Thanks Robl. I’ve contacted samtec followed their advice but ended up empty handed. Originally my stencil thickness is 6 mils, samtec stressed the need for the paste and charge to have good contact but this is challenged by the inherent charge non-co

Hi Phil, thanks. I am successful using the same connector on small thinner boards 2-2.5kg) i cant make it work, tried all kinds of profiles with vapour phase but to no avail. Yes you read it right 4.3-6.3mm pcb thickness and 2-2.5Kg. And it is 44 lay
