Hi, Guys, Can anybody tell me what kind of reflow profile is best for a no clean solder paste: Ramp-Soak-Spike or Ramp-to Spike? The paste we are using is AIM 293DX2B. Thanks a lot.

FYI: Most Sn/Pb and Pb Free solderpastes today are designed to run both a ramp-soak-spike or ramp-spike profiles.

Hi, Just to clarify the terms, traditional : aka : Ramp-Soak-Spike (RSS) profiling method tent : aka : Ramp-To-Spike (RTS) profiling method By search engines (eg. Yahoo), you can find more example profiles for your ref.

Increase paste volume and use ramp soak spike profiling. Reducing volume of paste often leads to entrapment. Good idea to know difference between voiding and dewetting due to contamination

We recommend a ramp soak spike profile for HASL finish, so everything gets nicely heated during reflow, we soak around 180C and peak at 245- 250C and don't have any issues as long as the levelling isn't too peaky.

Hi Russ I happen to come across a article about reflow profile. Other than Ramp-to-spike(RTS) & Ramp-soak-spike(RSS), its introduce a new reflow profile & call it LSP. Is it possible to give me your email address & I will send the article to you?
