Hi, As many must be aware a number of component manufactuers maybe shipping lead-free parts without part number changes. without knowing the datecode tracked on each component it would be difficult to trace components whether they are lead-free or

Hi: How simple or complex do you want? We run PFS software, but for our Feeder Maint we used access and just wrote a simple pgm and tied it into our PFS. What PFS gives us is how often the feeder is change out and this is used to base a feeder PM

A minimalist approach would be to add one 8mm, one 12mm one 16mm you get the idea. It's not that big a deal to swap a reel of whatever component onto the open feeder. The next step up is to gauge the cost of the initial set of feeders, say, if ther

For a general rough rule of thumb I use Practical Components for programming our machines. Practical has a nice layout of most Tape and Reel components and sizes. We use this mostly for tape/ feeder allocation. But for QC, Specs, and Other Stuff we

I have received info from Q corp, prices of the machines and the option prices too. I am waiting for info from V-tek too. I am in exactly the same position as you, loose parts from customers, mosty small quantities in tubes. I have had very little res

There is the IPC/JEDEC J-STD-033 that addresses moisture sensitive components. Go to http://www.ipc.org for the standard. Your factory/storage area environment will dictate exposure times allowable. Be mindful of temperature and humidity changes- lik

One thing that it doesn't make sense, I have never seen the GSM picking up one component leads down, present it to the camera leads down and reject it. Just so it can pick two more components from the same reel and present it leads up and accept it.
