| | | | | | I'm having a fun time between BGA rework/repair using an SRT 1000 and SPC efforts (much easier) using DEK stencil printing processes and BTU reflow with 6 Fuji lines in between. | | | | | | Concerning the BGA stuff, I'm getting about 60

Don't blame it on the poor paste thickness requirement [although I might go on to argue that it's could be a contributor to the issue]. Most likely you're the problem. About 70% of the time solder on gold fingers is caused by poor cleaning of screen

Ron, Some places want/need oven calibration and some don't, just need a profile. I've worked for both. If you need oven calibration, an easy, inexpensive way is to parallel thermalcouple wire to your existing thermalcouples. Terminate the ends of

| We've recently encountered this problem where one of our .050" pitch BGA's were reflowing at the wave thus causing shorts... The board was profiled with probes stuck to a QFP solder joint, an 0603, and one of the BGA joints. There was an almost 7

| Anyone have any experience with ECD's Waverider/MOLE profiling equipment? If so, were they positive experiences? | I use ECD's mole for profiling in the wave and a KIC for profiling in reflow. I like the KIC a whole lot better for a couple of re

We're currently experiencing a spate of solder not wetting to pads of PCBs, and it's becoming more aggravating on a daily basis. At this point, we're running out of ideas. I've searched the Fine Archives for information, and, so far, haven't found

My first thought is board warp. This is something you can't see when the board is in a reflow oven. I see it occasionally going through wave solder. You may need a pallet with hold down clamps for reflow. Try putting a bare board in a baking oven at

Awww, don beso tuff on ursef!!! It sounds like youre thinking correctly with what youve done, but its possible that the test you ran did not represent your actual production environment as well as you would have liked. So, you just need to "cran
