We are running a Heller 1707 EXL reflow oven, but we have a temperature variation across the board. When the oven first comes up to temperature, the centre of the board is 10degC hotter than the inside rail which is a further 10degC hotter than the

Does the flickering go away once the oven reaches its set temperature? It will draw a lot more current while its warming up then when its running. Are your lights running on one leg of the same 415 VAC circuit? Reflow ovens are mostly resistive loa

We have been using a Heller 1707EXL (7 zones + 1 cooldown zone) for lead free (ROHS) soldering since 2007 with good results. I wouldn't go any lower than 7 heat zones though. If I may brag a bit....The IPC-7095 revision C standard was released a fe

Thanks all for your replies. I ended up getting an older second hand machine (2003 Heller 1707 EXL) from a local company upgrading their assembly line. It is in mint conditions and was used in air conditioned room and had maintenance every 3 months.

Anyone have experience or advice to help prevent SMT reed switches from being blow out of position during re-flow? We are using a Heller 1707 MK 3. Is it possible to adjust air flow in the oven or do we need to glue before placement??

I have seen this on Heller1707 machines also for LED devices. The same job was run on anthoer brand oven (Rehm) and no issue. I think Heller Blower velocity can be a little on higher side as is a low inertia heating system and they have to make up f

We have been running a Heller 1707EXL for 8 years and added a Heller 1707MKIII about 1 years ago. We have not had any problems with either one of them. We do both lead and lead-free assemblies along with BGA/LGA components. If speed/volume is not

Hi, I am looking for software for 2003 model 1707 EXL reflow oven (HC1 controller). I believe latest version for that model is 1.0.6.5.8 (98 Win) or 4.0.2.1 for XP. Thanks

In 2014 we paid about $40K USD for a new Heller 1707 MKIII (no nitrogen) which is a 7 zone oven. One does not need a 8-10 zone oven unless you are doing high volume. We use the 1707 for everything including lead or lead-free solder, 0.031" to 0.093

We have a two Heller ovens, 1707EXL (2006) and 1707MK III (2014). We use them for lead and lead-free reflow soldering including all the tricky components such as BGAs. You may want to go with 8 or 9 zones if you are running high volume but a 7 zone
