Hi Daniel, Yes there is such equipment available, I have seen it on the end of both Capacitor & Resistor production lines, but from what I can remember it was custom made. The cap line was testing 0402's. Hope that helps, Rob.

For 20 mil pitch pads, the volume control is more critical in terms of bridging concern. In general, solder paste for dispensing is more prone to slumping due to low metal load and low viscosity. If the volume dispensed is on the high end, or if the

Javi, If the components are caps and resistors etc there should not be much problems. I would say everyone at this stage has a mixture of leadfree and lead components. The problem really starts when you are running the likes of Leadfree BGA where th

Positive side: Less change overs, increased productivity 1/2 booking in & replenishement functions Negative: If you have more than one SMT line, common part numbers & a MRP system it may tell you you can run 3 jobs at once with 1 reel Some machin

cap and resistor Parts are cheap! $10 vs. $20 or so? If you are worried about inventory cost than only buy your top 10 or so runners in the large reels. I am a big fan of large reels for the high running caps and Resistors.

When you say "selecting correct value of the small chip components during assembly", you are referring to caps and resistors? and that you want to know that the correct cap or resistor was place in the correct location? your assembly is surface moun

Yageo announced their decision to stop marking SMD resistors back in 2013, and since then we have started to see 0603's that aren't marked, but larger sizes - so far - are still showing a value. 0402's have never been marked, and I doubt they ever w

I will try outline Theta and Z-axis servo issues, we were facing last time. Story behind. Our 750 is used seldom and last time after switching it on initialization procedure ends with T axis of right head: Servo alarm. Opening front cover of 750 two

I'm with Steve and flying probing. As long as you are testing the capacitance of the cap in the circuit and not of the cap itself you'll get a pretty good indication. Most are going to be 10nf and 100nf decoupling caps at that size so quite easy to

I'm attempting to perform power analysis on my target, which operates at 3.3 volts. The average current while running is around 140mA without the resistor. With a 5V power source, I utilized a 10Ohm resistor as a shunt resistor. The shunt resistor w
