Contamination under chip resistor array

Electronics Forum | Thu Aug 21 08:15:07 EDT 2008 | naynayno

Thanks Dave, I will be sticking with Manufacturing Engineering. These are good guidelines but what is standard clearance for various packages? This is a dimension we usually seek by eye, whether we will have a problem or not. We use straight DI -

ROHM Resistor Stick to top Tape

We are facing ROHM Resistor stick to top peel off tape during feeder movement. What are the possible causes and how to prevent this issue?

Interesting, seen that too with 2512. Never got to the bottom of it.

My first and only thought is how old are the parts? Strange things happen to some materials over time, especially if they're stored in environments without significant climate control.

soulder SMT Mat

i mean Bolts in the eletrectical meaning. you know B=current plus resistor. That rohas soulder seem to stick to the pdb-board though

Jammed Fuji CP65 Nozzles?

Electronics Forum | Tue Jan 30 12:21:49 EST 2007 | cyber_wolf

Rob, I have talked about this on the forums before. I have since then gained much more experience on this issue. Some things to look at : 1. The X/Y/Z table must be indicated flat. (See the Fuji manual for specs.) 2. Your Z-origin must be correct.

Thin Chip resistors and HSP 4797 T12W8P

Electronics Forum | Wed May 21 17:11:37 EDT 2003 | radney

Yes to all of the above with the exception of the part sticking. The same parts are EASILY picked using the 4790/91 feeders on a 4790/91 machine. The new feeders just flip the part out when the feeder advances. Thanks! Lee

Lead Filled Bean Bags for Thru-Hole Wave Solder Components

Electronics Forum | Mon Dec 16 15:12:05 EST 2002 | sueph

I made a small bean bag from 100% cotton filled with rice, to hold down small resistors that wanted to tilt over solder wave. It worked fairly well as long as I didn't try to take it off the components to soon, as sometimes they would want to stick

Based on what you have said so far it would be worth trying extra pads and as you may know the drainage pads should be a minimum of three times the length of the pads before them to be effective. Also take some parts stick them to a glass plate and r

Alternative to Stick Feeder and Vibratory for SOIC-8

Electronics Forum | Fri Feb 11 18:59:21 EST 2005 | primus

We have been using Tape and Reel on our GSM for the SOIC-8 packages for a while, and it's working pretty well. Less operator error, less reloads, less jams (provided you take good care of the feeders) and LESS TUBES STUCK IN MY VCD SEQUENCER!!! I hav
