i'd say its a ball nut. maybe it came loose or the balls are worn out. also, check timing belt! if resonance is periodical like you say then there is great probability that belt or/and belt pulleys got worn out. i had combination of these on one of m

Any ideas that can cause y-axis resonance? I ruled out all usual the suspects (tacho sensor, driver cards, motor driver etc.). Looks like some mechanical issue, but can't figure it out. I suspect leadscrew nut - I checked it with motion diagnostics s

You can try to null the axis, it's working sometime Also, lower the acceleration to 2000 instead of 4000 and the max velocity to 350 instead of 508. You can also try to swicht the Y1 driver with Y2 driver Do you have the AMC disks to troubleshoot ?

It's been a while since I posted this message, so I'll give it another try. Any ideas, anybody?

I did try to null the axis - no improvement. I have AMC software and tried (almost) everything related to electronics (except for changing linear encoders, but this seems to be OK - when I move axis manually, position numbers change smoothly). It loo

It was a resonant frequency that brought down the Narrows bridge. Memorex can shatter a wine glass with resonance. Ultrasonic washers use frequency to do what they do. If anything on the pcb has a length width or mass that resonates at the washers fr

Thanks for the info Patric...! Using that I found the resonator on the Manu's website. Armed with that and info I recvd on the PIC, I jumpered across the resonator and the board now functions. We'll be testing tonight with the Heli and see how it

WE ARE USING A SMT CERAMIC RESONATOR ON A COUPLE OF OUR BOARDS AND THEY ARE CAUSING FAILURES, DUE TO UNCLEANLINESS UNDER THE PART. WE NEED A WAY TO STAND THIS PART UP OFF OF THE BOARDS, OR IF ANYONE CAN SUGGEST ANOTHER WAY AROUND THIS? THANK YOU, TO

I have a problem with a Murata cap chip type resonator(ROHS). After the reflow process, the soldering joints flow to one side of the component. I did not have this problem with the leaded component. Did someone have a solution for this problem?

Can't say too much about the solder joints issue, but about a decade ago we did have a lot of problems with resonators being damaged by harmonics from Ultrasonic board washing & Ultrasonic welding. However this mostly manifested itself as cracking i
