Pin in Paste with dispenser

Electronics Forum | Mon Jan 24 04:26:32 EST 2005 | Hannu

Morning all, Has anybody done any pin in paste job with a dispenser? I read somewhere that the needle i.d. should be slightly larger than the hole diameter, but with holes of 1.4 mm I would have to work with a very large needle indeed. How does past

SIR starting point...?

First, SIR data is heavily dependant on the test pattern selected. Be very careful when comparing the results of resistance readings taken from different geometric patterns. Second, if yer talkin': * Bare boards, yupper. * Finished assemblies impor

Ron: I have a story similar to Justin's. A major name in pick and place machines took a CAMALOT positive displacement pump and put it on their machine. The CAMALOT dispenser by itself is great. I used their model 1414 benchtop dispenser for years w

Liquid, Dispensable Solder Mask

Thanks for the info everybody. As Real Chunks stated, a lot of paste is needed in order to solder the clinched part of the lead on to the pad. It can be done with a dispenser but it takes a lot of time. The good part is that the result looks surpris

Automated or Semi-Automated Thermal Gel Application

Electronics Forum | Wed Oct 09 13:18:46 EDT 2019 | dwl

What is the advantage of dispensing dots over dispensing a line? I don't see any reason why dots wouldn't work. You might have to experiment a bit to dial in the right volume and spacing to get the desired end result, but it shouldn't be hard. Fisna

Can't find "WS601" on the Alpha site. What is that stuff? So, with nothing to go on, I'll just guess ... Yer probably cold welding the solder particles together. The nozzle size (inside diameter) determines the dot size. * With glue, small dot si

Conformal coat material dispensed through epoxy needle?

Electronics Forum | Fri Feb 03 17:14:49 EST 2017 | westshoredesign

You should have no problem. We use a very dated Asymtek machine (Automove 303) retrofitted for dispensing, air over syringe. It took time and some tinkering with. But all things considered, we're able to achieve remarkable results. I would recommend
