| I'm designing a board where the parts will only fit if I do one of the following: | | 1. Put BGAs on both sides | | 2. Put BGAs on top, smt TSOPs directly underneath and using blind vias to keep the real estate on the bottom side below the BGA pa

Need help getting our mydata TP9 to place 8-dfn package parts.

Electronics Forum | Fri Sep 01 16:44:41 EDT 2017 | dgaddisatprimepower

I've been struggling trying to get our TP9 machine to place 8-dfn package parts. One of our primary assembly contracts uses a SOIC8 but the pad design accommodates an alternate 8-DFN part and sometimes we have to go to our alternate part due to lead

I don't know that you find anything off the shelf that fits all of your requirements, but it wouldn't be too hard to create a system that does *most* of what you want. You could at least have it read the code off the pcb & alarm if it doesn't match

Flexible Circuit Board Finish ENIG or Hard Gold?

Electronics Forum | Wed Aug 24 16:30:11 EDT 2016 | shawn_halo_1

I have a 1oz Flex PCB (FPC) that has 2 0.4mm pitch connectors that need to be SMTd and 9 4.5x1.0mm pads that have conductive rubber contacts that are press fitted onto the FPC. The FPC has a one time bend radius of 15.5mm. Image is attached that show

I’m setting up an RF and mm-wave lab in a university. My idea is to purchase a set of machines using which I can do pcb prototyping, solder pasting, picking and placing the components (the smallest footprint would be 0201), and soldering (oven). In a

gas to extend allowed print-to-place time?

Electronics Forum | Mon May 02 12:35:33 EDT 2016 | adamjs

Or try : http://www.sipad.com/ I think sipad is incredibly cool and would be the perfect solution, but is way too expensive. We're paying $0.80/each for four-layer ENIG boards, 50cm^2 with 0.125mm trace/space and 0.8mm-pitch LGA landings in lots of

Lead trimming

Electronics Forum | Tue Jul 19 09:06:00 EDT 2016 | davef

We used to use those, back in the bad old times. basically, it's a router with a blade on it that is used to trim the leads of PTH components that are mounted on boards. Nasty process. Difficult to control. Messy, firing cut leads all over the plac
