First of all, like I said before, I only worked on similar type of part. For this part, I would add at least 1 of 0603 size solder bead at each end (091845.jpg), 2 of 0402 size solder beads side by side would be even better.

0402 imperial? all those machines should be able to handle that. Even an old Quad 4C can place those. As others have said, availability of parts in your area will be the issue.

@cbart It's a mid-volume product and as I said, there are several boards (slightly different layouts) using the same component. When you say ISI, do you mean connectors? can you give me an example of what you used in the past?

yes ,i agree he said that Try PCBSynergy - it exports files from Eagle (it supports others too) to Philips / Yamaha machines.

As I said, the intent of the "stepped" feature is to aid in paste release. Continuous is normal mode. I believe the manual explains these features in depth.

We have a batch washer. When it was being installed I noticed their was some foam when testing empty. We had already ran a load previously. I asked the installer and he said that it takes very little for there to be foam.

Are there any recommended classes for learning intermediate/advanced concepts in SMT?

I would start by contacting all the equipment suppliers you have on site regarding their training options. Most of the big companies or distributors will have training centres. That said even the smaller ones should be able to come on site & guide

Ramon, Solder ball' are a bitch aint they?, identifying the right location to fix em is a bigger one. As you and the rest of teh guy's have said yes you'll need to look at your stenil..but maybe your stencil is good so you'll need to look else where
