Nitrogen increase surface tension in solder. This also reduces solder balls.

In addition to reducing oxides my understanding is that nitrogen increases the surface tension of solder (I've also read the inverse). Bottom line, Nitrogen reduces rework, improves quality, improves solder appearance, and reduces maintenance. Shea

On our Pilarhouse Jade we use nitrogen to cool the belt that drives our solder pump as well as keep the amount of oxygen to a minimum in our solder pot to reduce dross.

Replacement for nitrogen in the reflow oven

call me picky but doesn't hydrogen combust? maybe soemthing you could do is look at your process and your products and decide if you actually need to run in N2. Yes ok I can hear the crys now but seriously, for the vast majority of things if you have

We using nitrogen only for Selective Solder machine, you don't need it for reflow oven, to improve solderability we use Vapor Fase oven.

No problem running lead free without nitrogen. Careful profiling will take care of the soldering. Cosmetically, the Nitrogen reflow is superior for lead free, and we see much better wetting, better coverage of the PWB pads, and of course the smooth

Check flux penetration and type of flux. How much is solid contents. The solder filling is better under Nitrogen. Check the time (speed) of the nozzle whether is correct. Usually For SAC305 the temperature of bath is 320C/degrees, but only for sel
