We are using the new auto-dipping machine for LED solder dipping and dragging. The flux is water-soluble flux and the solder is 63/37 at 250 deg. C. Two weeks ago we exchanged the pot with new 63/37 solder. About a week, we found that the high level

The machine is a Universal 6796 DIP inserter. The driver card for the X axis burned a couple of resistors and a trace, probably a couple of power transistors too. I had a spare card and put it in. Now on powering-up the machine, the X-Y table move

Hi, We have a board with over 100 chips (mixed size) and some long Connector DIP through out Wave solder with many issues of no solder and solder bridge, (using clean flux with bubble fluxer and Kester solder bar). Currently we tried to reduce the de

With DIP type components, a sub-par fluxing method (foaming a no-clean), and a chip wave where one is not needed are formulas for bridging and insufficient wetting. If you have SMD's on the wave solder side of the board greater than 0603, and no SOT

Give some serious thought to what your service options are for one of these machines. Senju doesn't have a big presence here in the US and I'd want to know where a serviceman would need to travel from if you get into the deep stuff.

We finally can't avoid adding wave solder to our process anymore. For lead-free, medium sized wave I'm leaning towards mid 2000s senju units as the best fit. I've never run their equipment. Opinions? As a point of reference for our general capabilit

Does anyone know 2-pin DIP components? Who uses them, why are they in the DIP form and not simple axial components? Are they usually placed by hand or by modified DIP placement machines? Thanks for any answers, Erhard
