Thank you PWH, All good points. I use a semi-automatic printing process not a screen printer so if more solder balls and beads are created then I would be creating more re-work and that is exactly what I do not want to do. I guess the best thing to

| After switching from No-clean flux to Water soluble (Kester)we encountered voids problem (X-ray and microsectioning). Reducing the apperture sizes made the voids smaller but did not eliminate them. So we had to go back to No-clean. Any idea why voi

We have been using Coilcraft 1008CS inductors for several years. We have had problems with them turning green when we use lead-free solder paste. We have tried several solder pastes (water soluble and no-clean)from different manufacturers, but the

This is a No-Clean solder paste, therefore, it's intended not to be cleaned. If you need your assemblies to be cleaned post assembly, I would highly recommend a water soluble solder paste. It will provide much better looking boards in the long run.

Came a cross an interseting observation/question. I'll need to filter additional information and specifics to those whom may be able to assist me. But for now; I use a water soluble base organic flux manufactured by Kester (the exact solution will
