SAC 305 Reflow & SN100C Wave and Selective

Russ is correct. We have been using SAC 305 for SMT and SN100C for wave and selective and repair for about a year. May switch to SN100C in SMT at some point if we can get some paste that wets better.

Steps to Convert SAC305 Wave Solder Pot to SN100C

I was wondering if someone could tell me the steps they went through to convert a SAC305 Wave Solder pot over to SN100C. I'm having wave solder problems with SAC305 and I'm considering a change to SN100C. Didn't know if it was a -in replacement or

I am also getting ready to order solder for my new wave. Based on what I have read (here and other places) people prefer Sn100c for the wave. I have yet to hear of someone using Sn100c and switching to SACx. I am using SAC305 for reflow and I am tryi

Hi everyone We plan to use on our smt line sac 305 and on our wave soldering sn100c. Will there be a compatibility problem if we do make touch up with sn100c on smt or touch up thru hole components with sac 305 ??? Thanks for taking time to reply

We have been using SAC 305 for reflow and Cobalt 995 (very similar to SN100C, only cheaper) for wave and rework for quite a while now with no issues that I'm aware of.

Be sure to peel the potatoes. I saw a guy use a potato to purify gold on the TV show Rough Science. Seriously though I would think SAC305 to SN100C wouldn't be as bad as eutectic to leadfree.

I run two different waves here one with SAC305 with aqueous flux the other with SN100C and No clean flux. Does anyone see any issues with running product through either machine of course after changing the Flux type? I also only use SAC305 alloy for

We use SN100C for wave soldering and hand Lead free soldering and have had very good results. The wire cored solder for hand soldering flows good and makes very good solder joints. The SN100C in the wave solder machine also works very good. We use
