Is there a different thickness of screens we should be using for smaller components (sod523 / sot23 / 0603) or new pastes? Thanks.

We are using 6 mil screens, and these boards have 0603,SOT23 and SOD523. Seems like we could use *more* paste, not less on a lot of these components, so does it make sense to get a thinner screen? Wouldn't this mean we'd get less paste?

Oh I didn't know that about the springs of the tool! I had to turn the spring action off on one of my other tools already, so think I will be buying a couple definitely new C14. Thanks for letting me know.

Hi I'm trying to pick and place a lot of sod523 components with a mydata my12. I'm using C14 standard tool and Hydra tool H01. For some reason no matter what I try to do when the head picks the component with the C14 tool the machine emergency stops

Has anyone had trouble with SMD machine placing of SC-79 (approx 0402) varicaps (infineon, alpha, philips)? Using the recommended pads from Infineon I am struggling to get the component to place flat on the PCB and the pins to wet properly every time
