It will not easy to measure solderability on PCB pad. Any metal tends to oxidize with time and temperature. Make sure your storage of the PCB is accordance to supplier recommended specification.

Hi, just my comment, theoretically No Clean means no Ion Contaminants from Flux, but it some some case ion contamination (Cl-Br-F) could come out from raw PCBs, from Components, from fingerprints, etc. To incorporate a ROSE step in the pro

Looking at the appearance of pads and solder joint is pretty subjective. Especially lead free people are all over the map on the physical appearance of pads and joints. The true test is solderabilty testing, weather it’s just looking for good wetti

Hi, We will run a no-clean wave solder process to assemble TV boards. What about incorporating a ROSE Test equipment (Ionograph, zero-ion, Omega Meter) in the process? Is it recommended, helpful or unnecessary? Ive read about the use and limits of

Hi. In the past years I had made dozens of PCBs but now I am trying to get a professional finishing on them. The main problem is oxidation of the copper traces. Basically I use the silkscreen method to make the pattern in both layers and then etch. L

Agreed. Your "leads" are fairly small compared to the PAD area, so you leave your part lots of room to "stretch it's legs". One thing that I have trouble communicating to my operators is that placement does not have to be perfect, and neither does t

As I know, the encapsulation effect occurs only with rosin based fluxes. So if you have a PBA soldered using RA Flux, you should either wash it well, or leave it alone and it will be safe. For NC process the story is different because theres no re
