Can anyone point me in the direction to find some IPC standards for lead free solder joint reliablity tests, such as shear tests, pull tests, vibe tests, enviroment tests, etc. I need to know what the specs. are on all aspects of reliability and how

You're correct. There is no criteria for no-lead, but there none for SnPb, either. Solder joint strength in pull/shear will vary with lead geometry, solder volume, lead metal/metallization, the way the test is done.

The reliability of a Gullwing component solder joint is in question when insufficient solder is evident: *at the heel of the lead *at the toe of the lead *none of the above

hi, I am a Hardware designer . One of my products is undergoing a Reliability test in which a resistor shows a high value on board from its specified value .However it retains the original value when its cooled under room temperature. The resistor

I recently encountered reflow soldering defects on a pair diode package, the smd pad had a green contamination, I'm convinced that this is not oxidation. The no-solder condition appears to be caused by a sloppy soldermask process, although over the y

We work in a "low" volume high reliability house building mixed tech double sided multi layer CCA's for long lived space applications. Our present problem is inspection questioning every dimple/anomaly on every leadless part(we put passives only thr
