Brd(Electroylic Gold finishing) got blisters

From the pic, we see blistering, but none so close to via that we'd attribute the blistering to via, via plugging, or anything of the sort. When we see blisters like this, we think of a surface contaminant being present on the boards at the time of

The blistering is around the plugging via. I can forward you the pic. For the plugging process, I'm not too sure how they plug. What is the correct practise for the plugging via. Now, what they did is. They will do a tenting process for both side.

printing solder paste on test vias

Electronics Forum | Thu Aug 21 23:35:20 EDT 2003 | kennyg

For ICT purposes I may need to print solder paste on 0.015" test vias. No-clean is not an option for this assembly and OA seems the only choice. Can flux be safely removed from inside the via from the other side during a standard water wash process

Are you exposing so you can solder and SMD component directly to it? If not are there ant vias near by that connect to the area you are trying to expose? If not I have done as Dave suggested using a dremal tool. Messy but it works.

Hi All I have a 0.7 mm diameter hole for vias, whats the minimum annular ring for this hole diameter? Whats the term unsupported and supported holes refer to in IPC-2221 9.1.2 Annular Ring Requirements? I have a proto-type PCB (designed by our R&

Conductive filled Vias on BGA

Electronics Forum | Fri Oct 08 09:43:27 EDT 2004 | davef

First, don't get too excited about the thermal capabilities of conductive epoxy. An epoxy like DuPont CB-100 increases the amount of heat conducted through the barrel, but many over estimate what it can do. Calculations show for a 0.020" drilled
