Printing with adhesives is no big deal so don't let the sales types try to mystify the process and convince you that they have the only stencils/adhesives/knowledge that can possibly get you through this "trying time" - at a price. Start with 0.010"

Is anyone out there is the contract or the OEM sections using viscometers to check solder paste or glue for acurate process definitions. By this I mean check the materials viscosity over a period of time and measure the degradation of performance, t

I am printing on DEKs and using simulara paramateres as for a solder it works really fine. In general going faster gives you more paste/glue. Less pressure gives you more paste/glue again. All the rest depends on your current board. Regards, Emil

Hi Buddy, We've tried shifting to this process before and from our point of view here are some of the advantage and disadvantages that we discovered. Advantage 1) Cheap Equipment cost as you just need to use your Solder Paste Printer rather than buy

For the past year now we have been printing adhesive with no real problems. Our printing ranges from 0603's to SOIC using a variation of aperture sizes and metal thickness foils. The crucial parameters are : aperture sizes : These obviously depend o

Davef, You have a good question. If we had perfect design engineers out there that would use the proper component spacing and not put SMT parts between and around thru-hole parts - glue and wave would work perfectly. I have done this with great su

Oh,I consider the process is wrong,it is stencil print paste-mount-reflow -apply glue-reflow,then wave solder. it must pass twice reflow, also the first reflow profile is different and the second .

We changed paste manufacturers rather recently and are now seeing SOT23s falling off after wave solder. These parts have a dual process... we stencil print paste, apply glue, populate then reflow. Only SOT23s fall off, chips are fine. We do not be

I have problem about glue printing measurement ,anybody has process of glue printing . How do you measure? as I know "push test" is the method for testing the strength of connection of component and board but I don't have specification of testing for

Hi all, I have a problem and would gratefully take on suggestions, firstly let me explain the situation: We are currently screen printing adhesive, using a method similar to DEKs 'Pump Print', The adhesive we are currently using is supplied from Alp
