I find myself in possesion of a solder pot from a production machine that was sent to scrap. The scrap man was uninterested in the 2 ton pot. Does this thing have value ?? Or am I stuck with a hunk of Hasmat ???

Just had a similar phenomenon 2 days ago. May relate to your issue --- or not. Like you, I did a once over looking for mechanical obstruction & couldn't find any. Ran a thermal profile on the offending PCB & all checked out. Looked in end of oven

We use Cooksons prepaid "Pot-Rite" program which sends you as many preaddressed envelopes and order sheets as you order. When it comes time to send out a sample you just pop it in the envelope and mail it out. They also have all the molds and ladles

I recently witnessed a process in which the solder pot operator used Techspray WSOL water soluble masking to cover the areas around a connector that was to be soldered on the solder pot. He did not wait for the WSOL to cure. He soldered immediately.
