Wave soldering defects

Electronics Forum | Tue Dec 27 15:07:28 EST 2016 | luciano

Hello, Sorry for the mistake. The speed is 1m/min. We are using Alpha Vaculoy solder and a conveyor angle about 7º. We are not using pallets since the fingers hold the boards directly. Thanks!

Does pot temperature affects quality of the solder joints?

Is this for a Selective Solder? If so what size nozzle do you run. I run at 315 C most of the time. You can speed up your process time and still achieve good solder fill.

Can anyone recommend starting points for feeds and speeds in machining durastone pallet material using a CNC routertable? Cutter suggestions as well.

Thanks from your answer. A few days ago the supplier told me about these rolls. Now I am waiting for them and I will make tests. Maybe I will also try to reduce the ejection speed but this will lengthen the process

I am pretty sure, you are looking into the wrong spot. Your paste is too much, or your part has very inconsistent narrow leads(that includes wrong pad design as well.)

I agree with Evtimov. What he didn't point out is that the surface tension of the solder would vastly overwhelm any force from air flow.

No such thing as a Compact Reflow Oven?

Not yet, but also have an option for a Universal GSMxs machine for $6k but only 5 feeders, fully upgraded 2 heads (1 brand new). I leaning against the Opal as its same speed as the Juki on paper for twice the price.

Mirae Mx series, parameters to accelerate the heads in Z.

Hello Bobpan, Thank you very much for replying, Actually there is the utility of Axis speed, but it asks for a password that I do not have, compliments.
