Do you remember how tall if a component works on the sapphire? Basically it is a comet III, right? How did they speed the old comet up?

Try with "120F" type part number:48503503 or 1220 1240...reduce pick up speed...

Yes, the left to right movement. The belt looks tight. I will check for loose steps, thanks for the tip. I can't find a mod code for overall speed setting. Do you remember the number?

mod code 53. make it 2...this speed setting is closer to fast than slow.

I am also interested in this but to slow one of our machines down- it stops too quickly and shakes the machine more than I would like. We are running GSM1's on OS/2 and uic sw 3.3.

I want to say that waaaayy back when we had an issue like that and it was time to clean the pot. The operator would speed the pump up over time to compensate but it only really helped in the middle of the wave.

On some of the older models you cannot have all of the other accelerations turned up and theta set to slow. Bump up the theta speed.

It looks like solder dross there or flux residue that not activated well. Your speed is 43cm/60s, wave width contact is 2cm, so dwell time is 2x43/60=1.43s, it's short also.

We never really "controlled" it, per-se...more a function of the speed coming out of liquidous. But, the accepted best practice is 4°C-6°C/second. Cheers, ..rob

look at the specs of your solder and stencil life. Check the humidity, low humidity dries the paste. Slowing down your swipe speed and frequent wipe cleaning of your stencil can help.
