We are currently having problems with tombstoning and minor lifting on small SMT stasck film capacitors. Does anyone have any ideas?

Rob, How does your chemistry stack up against the 440R? I see you mentioned ease of maintenance as one down fall in that chemistry's make-up. Could you elaborate for me. Thanks.

Is it true that "square" fiducials cause less error than round fiducials? Also, how does Panasonic machines stack up against Fuji, Siemens, or Philips placement machines? Thank you.

What is the lifetime for a typical solder paste ? How long can boards be stacked waiting before the paste goes off ?

Thanks. That is exactly what freaked me out. We run Impells and so are not excited about pushing the 'waste' out the 'stack'. I imagine we'd just cut the line and divert the stuff to a collection reservoir.

Dave, USI makes spray fluxers with stepper motor and servo motor controlled traverse heads that only spray on the board. Virtually no waste going up the stack. www.ultraspray.com

The residues are from the flux, not adhesive. Do you have flux management system in oven? You also need to check the flux type = can you use low solids. The effect is the same as steam in bathroom - it is cooling affects in exhaust and flux reforming

We are going to start producing product that require us to assemble Stacked BGAs. My question - how to rework this package, as the the process of either removing or re-placing them onto the PCB will the effect the BGA sitting on top of it. Pls help.

A stackup is basically this, if all parts (mating) are at the high end or low end of tolerances will they still fit together or meet any dimensional requirements as an assembly.

we are having problem with the flipchip sticking to the tape and reel cover, jumping around the tape pockets, and double stacking at placement during production. Does anybody else have this problem? Does anybody have a solution.
