PCBA storing requirement

Electronics Forum | Fri Dec 13 13:46:23 EST 2013 | markhoch

I agree with Dave. Much better to store as he suggested then to store them in piles on the floor. Ha! Piles of boards... never ceases to be funny.... :-p Funny though...my customers don't seem to find it as funny as I do. I wonder why....

I'm not aware of a standard for the storage conditions of assemble circuit boards. Here's what I'd do: * Protect them from damage * Store them vertically * Constant Temperature 22°C +/- 3°C * Humidity Control 45% To 65% R.H.

Criteria for storing finished SMT assemblies, shelf-life?

Is there any criteria or limitations for SMT pcba's? We have boards in stock that we built and a customer wants to know what our procedure is for "storing" these boards which will have a few through-hole modules soldered to them after they get pulled

There is no standard. On the web, you can find shelf life estimates for various types of solderability protection on bare boards. These estimates won't translate directly to the storage of assembled boards, because assembled boards [and the solderabi

Do those Balls pass IPC LOL Looks like the paste has been stored incorrectly probably stored stood upright and the flux medium has 'moved' so you have very rich flux areas and getting slumping due to it. Paste in cartridges should be stored flat refr
