"and dip it in your solder bath for 10-20 seconds." Do you pre-tin them first or just dip them in regular solder? "You can't talk to molten solder, but surfactant will listen." "Remember, we're all in this together."

Patrick I think peelback mechanics is more important than wave dynamics. :-) ...and "you can't talk to molten solder", but surfactant will listen.

Glycols, polyglycols, polyglycol surfactants, polyethers, and glycerine are used in water-soluble flux formulations because they provide excellent wetting of the board surface and dissolve the more active materials used in these formulations. [Printe

You're right- is is a cool concept and product. It is my understanding that, at least a few years ago, it was not compatible with every type/manufacturer solder pump. Check with PK for update info on compatibility.

With the costs of bar solder going through the roof manufacturers need to try to offset the dross related losses any way possible. Companies employ reclamation processes but in practice this only yields roughly 1/3 of the original cost of the solder

Has anybody tried this stuff? I was asked about it this morning and it sounds plausible from their website, minus "The small volume of spent material can then be inexpensively shipped back to P. Kay Metal for recycling" part. Website: http://www.p

Hi all, I will do my best to answer questions on MS2 here. I will try to check back at least every other day. The MS2 does not mix with the solder. It only reacts with the dross. It does not get down into the pumps. It was just formally anounced la
