Agree with Joe 100%, we recently brought one in from Malcolm for trial, this company had not practiced viscosity reading or anything in the process, the trail run was a great improvement in print, consistancy, deposition and formation of the solder b

We are now using solder paste(OM325) and I have some problems on the folowing process: 1. We use the solder paste softer(Malcom SP-1) to warm-up for 20 mins, when it just take from refrigerator. Is there any problems for solderpaste performance? 2.

Good Morning Stephen, 1) Most solder paste manufacturers recommend a 2 hour temperature stabilazation period. Solder paste should not be opened and exposed to ambient air if it is still cold. 2)Manufacturers do not reccomend mixing old and new paste

Wayne, Earl, I wish there was some way we could toss our wave solder machine forever! Unfortunately, we haven't found a way yet to do paste-in-hole reflow for large numbers of thru-hole axial and radial components, which we insert on Universal machi

Last week I had the opportunity to get a sample of AIM SN100C solder paste. The SN100C paste was very nice to work with. My initial observations was that the paste had a very light odor, much less than the Alpha UP78 paste that we are currently

Besides poor printing using cold solder paste will also cause solder beading.

Moisture will condensed on your paste if the temperature different. Solder bead will happen. You can see the jar or cartridge wet when you removed your paste from refrigerator.

I am looking for all the reasons why operators and stores must let solder paste reach room temperature. I am trying to make it is as easy as possible for everyone to understand. I have compiled all the obvious reasons but I am open to all comments an

And don't re-refrigerate the paste. It's fine left out at room temperature and sealed. If you want to know why simply ask and the next 8 respondants will tell you.

Maybe this piece of information will help. In China (just returned from visit) there are many factories that are using a dual temperature process using SAC305 or Sn100C and 42/58. Apparently this allows them to run their through hole parts through re
