5 zone oven profile

Electronics Forum | Mon Apr 04 12:39:00 EDT 2011 | gaz

This VIP70 has thermocouple inputs, so I'm hoping that's a good enough profiler. I tried a fairly different profile than you mentioned, so will test your settings today as well. If anyone has opinions, please jump in. Thanks!

That's very helpful, and much appreciated. I know it's a long shot, but I don't suppose you know what paste they are using with these settings. I am testing with sn100c ws488. Thanks! kinos

Starting point 7 zone oven profile for lead free - 2 layer simple board, but high mass electrolytics

Electronics Forum | Thu Apr 17 17:57:13 EDT 2014 | proy

Hello We use a 5 zone conceptronics HVN70 and never before have we had something we could not do including 6 layers Rohs complicated boards. Recently we had a larger - simple 2 layer board - all 1206's etc however there are 15 pcs of a LARGE high m

solving tombstone

Electronics Forum | Fri Aug 01 02:10:26 EDT 2008 | fowlerchang

Pad design is not only the size of pad but also the distance between two pad. N2 will increase tombstone as we tested. 10 zones reflow oven and slow temperature ramp will reduce this defect. MustII is the equipment which is used to test the solderabi

Mysterious reflow problem

Electronics Forum | Wed Sep 23 03:43:31 EDT 2009 | d0min0

hello, we are profiling with the pcb each day - results are very good with a small delta we made another test board with TC only in the problem places - same good result we tried 500-600 boards on 12 zone machine - zero defects while on standard 6

Flux drop on surface of PCB

Electronics Forum | Wed Sep 20 00:31:32 EDT 2017 | v037022

Dear, Now we have some problems related to flux inside Reflow oven (Tamura oven, 7 zones). Flux drop on PCB so much. It has 2 kind of flux: wet and dry. We did maintenance cleanly reflow oven but it still happen. We are planning to test new setting o

Reflow Oven Selection

Electronics Forum | Sat Aug 27 12:45:44 EDT 2005 | Mark

Thanks for the replies. Interesting white paper. Didn't quite answer my concerns but still a good read. I was actually surprised that to test temperature uniformity across the zone, they attached T/C's to the substrate rather than measure the ai

Reflow Oven Selection

Electronics Forum | Thu Aug 25 16:50:13 EDT 2005 | Mark

I have an application that requires soldering pieces of metal (copper plate and copper fins to make a heatsink). Each piece is about 1 lb. I cannot test it in our reflow oven (5 zone) since the piece is about 3" in height. Has anyone attempted to

Re: PCB interval during reflow process

Electronics Forum | Fri Dec 03 03:58:12 EST 1999 | Wolfgang Busko

Hi Charly, For batch ovens there is no discussion. For inline loading interval depends on the oven you use, the amount of heat the PCB takes out of the zone and the capability of the oven to get it back in. The approximate time for the PCB to stay i

choices for SN100C for reflow

Electronics Forum | Tue Jan 17 21:40:08 EST 2012 | gaz

I'm testing SN100C, and with our 5 zone oven I seem to be able to fix one issue by changing the profile, but that might introduce a new problem. Some profiles work very well on most components, but have issues on other components. These are usually 0
