Damn, and all this time we've been doing 0201 and 0402 here with Indium and we thought we were building defect free on these. I'm going to switch right now! What paste should I use for SO8s?

Sorry to nitpick, but counting and responding to the number of defects isn't process control. It's done all the time, but it doesn't really fit the definition and that's what I think DB is trying to investigate.

Definitely feeder related - we get it all the time on those package parts. If you can, slow the tact of the feeder advance a bit (if it's on T&R). We also don't catch it at placement, but at pre-reflow visual or AOI.

Based on the amount of equipment I am seeing available in China for sale, my guess is China is suffering from over capacity issues at the this time. I could be wrong but it doesn't appear the world wide board assembly economy is anything but flat.

wats the thickness of your board.. and the dimension.. I would not heat the board beyond 150deg C.. coz if the board is thick and large.. it will take a long time to reach that temp..and you will burn off your flux.causing poor solder joint. Ind

Hi, Does anyone know if any US company is really good a doing Electroform stencils? We tried DEK out of Singapore, but the lead times were very long. Not sure how DEK in the US is though. Regards, Grant
