Can anyone tell me which machine is better - Philips Topaz X or Samsung CP45FV? The machine is for contract manufacturing services with midium volume, high mix boards.

Both are good machines. I think the variable here is : 1)The topaz has been around longer and more time to be refined. 2) Support structure- I give the nod to Assembleon for this one. They have a stronger Apps and FS devision. Are these the only two

Kevin, I saw a few months ago in a Philips pamphet that they now have a "tray" that sits at the feeder locations for loose components or a small tape of components. I think it was for the Topaz machine.

I am interested in looking at options for machince calibration and maintenance from a third party provider. The company would have to be up on the servicing of the GEM line of Philips equipment (Emerald / Topaz). Any recommendations??? Kevin

For What It Is Worth I can only tell you I have had both Philips & Samsung machines. The Philips seems to be very flexible and the parts library is better than the Samsung. I had 2 QSA-30 Quad machines which were made by Samsung and Defining parts

Hey guys, Anyone out there have any luck finding after-market Philips Topaz vacum ejectors and air valves. I am looking for a source that may supply these. I tried the manufacturer directly but Philips has a proprietary design with Koganei which wil
