I am experiencing solder paste comtaminatin of nozzels on 0603 size components resulting in missing components. The machine is failing to alarm under these circumstances. Has anybody else experienced this problem & found a solution?

Had the same problem with a batch of 0603`s nfrom Vishay. They eventually replaced the components after I proved that the problem was with the component.

Also most of Tantalum Caps are iron-magnetic material made, for sure is not this case but always wen we met problems like James met, we had always sot-23, light capacitors 0603 as you know some of them have Nikel barriel (also magnectic sensitive) an

Is there an industry standard in calculating SMT process PPM level for benchmarking purpose ? What are the industry benchmark ppm number for some of the defects like solder short for 20-mil QFP, tomstone problem for 0603 components etc....
