Nozzle life?

Electronics Forum | Sun Feb 27 17:08:37 EST 2005 | //jh0n.

We're using 10MPF nozzles to pick 0603 components. I think I have noticed, that it does overlap. Is 08MPF the proper nozzle? These are also the only nozzles that I've had problems with - so this is probably the case.

Nozzle life?

Thanks for the reply. Like I just posted to the other replier, this is only a problem with 10MPF nozzles picking 0603 components off 8x4mm feeders. Feeders are all taught properly, and pick position is usually off by

Stencil thickness

6 mils maybe? instead of 6mm? We go down to 5 mils and up to 7 with 0603. You could even use a 4mil stencil for these without any problems. The .2mm (.0078")apart however might get you in trouble unless your equipment is rock solid.

It is not gonna work. Even though you fine tuned the CP3. 0603 is the maximum. The camera design is only for the 0603 maximum. If you use it for 0402. I think at least 60% of the component are gone. Also, there is no 0802 feeder for the CP3. How can

Not at all Jon. I have been using my CSM66 for 2 years and I think it is a very stable and abiding machine. It can place 0603 and 0.65mm pitch SSOP without any problem at 3000-3600cph. Easily and cheaply maintainable, so good choice for a "garage-wor

OK I can take a hint when asked for a photo. I did not try to take a photo as I thought the close up image would put the picture out of focus, so this is where a bit of graphics works might help explain the problem. When I had a look at the 1206 p
