We are big mpm fans especially the UP2000/2500 dos based. I just got an MPM SP2000 but feel thats too big. I would like something even smaller for an office setup. I looked up the MV100 and it came up with a pic of Quad. It looked pretty big in p

Hi Rick Your right and I a agree with you. But I think there is to many people looking at the HiE machines, when all they need is a UP2000. The only advantage of the HiE machines is that they are quicker. But they seem to have a couple of problems

If you are happy with DEK I would stick with that. I'd look at an ELA or a Horizon model 03...which is their stripped down Horizon version. You can buy a new one of those in the $60K range...used obviously less. The only other vendor I would look a

MPM UP2000 HIE Windows XP?

Thanks MPMENG. Our software is 8.3.3. Has anyone converted to XP (from NT)? What obstacles exist to do this? We'd like the printer on our internal network, where security patches can be applied to the OS.

No! Equipment OEM's have to license each CPU box or OS they sell. Your system machine software 8.4.3? is built to run on an NT OS. Microsoft no longer supported NT when the UP2000's/AP printers were converted to NT from DOS around 1999-2000. Speedl
