Fuji universal tape covers

Electronics Forum | Wed Jul 26 11:14:50 EDT 2006 | FredC

Are these covers repacements for the tape guides? If so in retipping many thousands of cp6 nozzles we see that the window in the tape guide is often miscentered and the needle tip rubs on the same place every time it picks. I expect the miscentered g

Barcodes for PCBs - what systems?

Electronics Forum | Wed Jun 11 02:35:56 EDT 2008 | pickyplacer

Hi, we have to print a serial barcode on a low volume PCB. For another module we just used our laser printer and cut the labels to size. However, those laser labels are easy to rub off, and the new labels are much smaller. What is best to use for

expedite drying of latex mask

Electronics Forum | Mon Aug 21 09:11:30 EDT 2000 | Eric Soderberg

Currently use Hysol TS300 latex mask and need to explore alternative methods of drying the mask. The mask is applied with a Asymtek Century Dispenser and placed on drying shelves. Air dry is dependent on temperature/humidity. Tried all the UV masks o

Conformal Coating Process Control & Inspection

Tape test to check adhesion and multiple point thickness test - each board has 5 points per side documented for thickness testing & we measure pre & post coating thickness with an electronic meter. Also temp & humidty are also logged, and alarms go o

SMT Connecting Conveyors

Ya know a little clear RTV around the feet of your conveyors will keep them from moving when Bubba the Quality Director needs to take a load off and leans against it. And if you ever need to move them later, just cut around the base with a box cutter

How to remove paint from back of PCB without damaging ?

Electronics Forum | Sat Jul 09 11:31:14 EDT 2005 | techvet99

I have several circuit boards (about 14" by 16" in size) that I recently acquired and am trying to repair. One problem is that the former owner painted (spray paint I think) the word "TEST" in big red letters covering most of the solder side of the

caps moving from pads

Electronics Forum | Wed Sep 21 18:09:03 EDT 2005 | PWH

We've had parts jump off pads on occasion due to panels or boards that are restricted in a carrier during reflow. The boards/panels expand and the restriction causes them to warp thus popping parts around during cool down. Doesn't sound like your p

charliem, thanks for the reply. I have to admit that I find writing barcodes with a pen a little difficult. AR, I still look at writing directly onto the PCB. But seems those systems are really expensive. I will look further into the normal label

Stencil Cleaning by hand

Electronics Forum | Mon Aug 06 09:55:32 EDT 2012 | dyoungquist

Techspray makes a liquid called "Eco-Stencil SMT Stencil Cleaner" and also pre-saturated wipes by the same name. We spray the cleaner on the stencil and then use the wipes to clean the paste off of the stencil. Putting 1 wipe in each hand and rub
