Has anyone ever replaced the venturi vaccum pump on the CP45 or other series machine? Or used a centralized vaccum system? It works fine, but air consumption seems excessive. This is what is in there, it probably uses 10cfm at least. https://www.p

A follow up, using an external vacuum pump works fine, and reduces load on the air compresssor, probably using 1/3 of the air.

I also use a small vacuum pump, this allows me to run a small compressor to supply air to the machine, around 7.5cfm. Someone suggested it to me years ago, the venturi system in the machine uses a lot of air and is noisy. The pump is a yellow jacket

Agree with WiIIR and also can recommend to play with vaccum pump RPM . Slower vacuum increasing have help me to resolve one problem caused by the vacuum (it was solder splash from BGA balls, but the reason can be similar to your case). Also check i

Our company has a Novastar benchtop wave solder machine, WSL-P series, model 7PD. We need to replace the pulley drive motor/pump, as some of the teeth on one of the gears are worn down/gone. Any idea where I can procure a replacement? Please provide

In my opinion save the old block and see how hard is to replace one if you have problems in future. I suppose it will be fixable.

The machine has a vacuum pump in it. This is what I expected also, but the machine does not have a Vac pump on it. The unit is sealed by Dage, the unit is a crystal type vacuum tube not a filament type. Regards. Darron
