We are using a Propyl Bromide vapor degreaser solvent. Has anyone heard of this solvent when used near an oven will decompose and cause major corrosion to metals such as in a Reflow oven or a wave solder pot?

It melts many plastics but not harmful to electronic components. to use it properly you need a vapor degreaser.

Not in our case, the pre-heat temp was not high enough. Also our pre-heat is only from top (KISS104).

We've had to hand solder 1 or 2 pins in cases like this or you could use chip bond or some adhesive on the component body.
