Is TS-2414 insulating varnish material suitable for conformal coating of PCBAs? How can its performance be tested? What properties should be looked for on its data specs to conduct initial assessment if it is a suitable coating material?

Hi We produce electronic pcboards for the aircraft industry. Some of our clients think that the thickness of the varnish left is proportional to the intensity of the blue color of uv's pigments in the varnish. Out off, we know that is not true. The

Adam, Not had any experience of the stuff myself but a quick Google reveals that KF1280 is 'Vernis de Protection' (French for Protection Varnish), available in aerosol cans. try this link: http://www.gotronic.fr/catalog/circuits/aerosol2.htm Unless

We already tried that. The sugar seems to have a bad reaction with the varnish on the Inductors. Do they make a sugar-free version?? Can you send me some samples??

Does anybody run conformal coating process using UV cure varnish? We have a long experience on solvented urethane coating material but switching to solventless is unknown for us. Could you recommand vendors for UV curing oven? Thanks

I think it is useful just to see where varnish should not be (eg connection parts). it is necessary to use another method to measure the thickness.

PCB designers specify the application of solder mask [eg, varnish, solder stop mask, solder resist, etc] to fabricators to reduce the potential of bridging between two conductive traces during assembly soldering processes [eg, wave, reflow and hand s

I am looking for a machine to protect PCBs against moisture with varnish. It doesn't have to be very efficient, it seems that one for a desk is enough. What to look for? Is it worth looking for a used one? Best available in Europe.
