I guess that depends what you're trying to inspect. Are you inspecting solder joints too? If so, I'd wash them first. But that's just me.

I'd wash them first then AOI. Especially you use the same AOI for WS and no-clean. You certainly will not want any WS flux left inside teh AOI then use the AOI for a NC PCB...

Did the machine work when you first installed it? Have you done a reset start yet? Make sure you have air applied when you power up. The IP's don't like to power up without the air.

Beyond just the cosmetic dewets reliability is very flux/coating dependent. Don't forget about any touchup or hand soldered parts after wave as well.
