Is it necessary to set adjustment mode 2 during calibration but iam unable to change the setting after changing unable to save and the screen appears as shown in image below

Most boards are fabricated with 1-ounce copper [34.79µm (micron/micrometer)]. Foil more commonly comes in at 33µm or less. Processing reduces this down to 30µm or thinner. Talk to your board fab about the specifics of your application

We used to use a Dremel with a cutoff wheel. You can clean the cuts up with an X-acto.
