I start programing 2 Assembleon 10 years' old Comet machines that my company owns and I will like to know what does each number on the VIOS file means so I can manipulate the VIOS file information directly. Does anyone have information on VIOS files?

Thanks. we've got this problem solved. In fact we wrote our own scripts to convert our PNP data into Yamaha VIOS files direclty.. Its exactly what we want for our setup..

Try to get hold of the Philips/Assembleon Cad2Cad program, it is (or was) free. You can import several (proprietary) file formats and centroid files and export it as VIOS text-files. All you need to do then on the machine is assign the correct compon

The program reads the Altium PCB directly and does some preprocessing, like centreing DPAK's etc. The ordering of components can be sorted by Designator. Top, bottom, SMT only components can be selected. There are 2 variation on VIOS :- JH_YM100_VIOS

Hi, here's my 2 cents sir: You need.. a) The Gerber Data and the BOM b) Extract the XY CAD from the GERBER and build what they call Centroid Data. Save this in text format. c) Use Cad2Cad to import the centroid data and save it as Philips VIOS txt
