We have an older model CP40-LV that will start out the day with blurry and double vision, then after about twenty minutes of just idling, the vision slowly improved until the machine could find the board fiducials and do a passable placement job. Th

Fiducial recognition is based on finding the centroid of the gray scale density of the fiducial. Round fiducials are easier for the software to digest in most cases, but its more important what the camera sees. Gray scale or color contrast of the fi

If you are using vision to correct on the printer and you are using the fiducials....then......yes

You can go into the vision diagnostics menu and create custom fiducial shapes. This is taught in the advanced programming school. I have done this in class but never used it since.

XPS, Hope the information in the above thread may help to get You right. BTW, Local Fiducial Marks are meant for specific devices in the Circuit Cards & typically selected to overcome offset or precision placement issues faced from Global Fiducial

None of the vision systems can really read a black object. In order to recognize an object a light source is required. The light is reflected from the object through an optical lens to the CCD chip. There is almost no light coming back from a black

I think stencil manufacturers back fill half etched fiducials with black epoxy or something. I know I've had some worn and that's what I've done for my vision systems to be happy again.

It's obvious the problem is in the software. Because they tried to make it user friendly, you can't use the vision system at all. You only choose the type and everything else is done internal. that's why they missed some possibilites.I know mashines

I don't know how your printer could match the board's alignment to the stencil if they aren't. If you don't have fids on both board and stencil that match you'd have to use pads, but then you've got apertures thrown in to the mix. If that's the sit

I fear your files are not stored in the default directory or your hard drive is full. Boot with a DOS boot disc and check your C drive for program and fiducial information. Try an older program to check if the program structure and vision informatio
