Hopefully not too late of a reply... We currently have both, the Ersa ETS 330 (running LEAD solder) and Seho GoWave 1030 (RoHS solder). Bought the Ersa used, and it seems like a strong built industrial high volume machine. We've needed to modify it a

after reading some other problems i can tell you that we have an electrovert wave and are using alcohol base flux with convection preheaters. also we are spraying it on...not foaming. we are using an omega wave also. thanks again...if you need mor

Hi Jason, a couple of questions: Whats the pitch? Did you change direction the board is going through the wave and what happend? How about the design abnormalities for those 4 pins, thermalreliefpads or whatever? We had problems with 2mm pitch and

I can only say it looks okay for what you need, you will want a dual wave system it can make things so much easier. One thing to check would be the wave nozzle sizes I can see that the conveyor will do up to 15" but thats not to say the nozzle is

Thanks for all the ideas. I tried solder "thieves" by placing some desoldering wick behind the briging pins and it worked! I have yet to try Chrys' idea but I will first thing Monday. This is a new board that has had this problem from day one. I

Problem measuring parallelism wave

Electronics Forum | Tue Feb 08 14:56:09 EST 2011 | rkr76

Hello everyone, I have a question regarding wavesoldering and measuring if a proces/machine is in control. I made a custom carrier for measuring contact time, parallelism, solder temperature, coveyorspeed and some data of the preheat section. The s

Am I missing something here? I usually put some type of stiffener or support on the leading edge to make sure the PWB doesn't sag in the middle from the preheat. If I had to add a bean bag with shotgun pellets or BB's I would have boards falling out
