Hi Bill, Gasketing between the board and stencil may leak alittle, giving you a fuzzy print. If not, you should be OK. Another variable may be you need to perform an understencil wipe more often, adding to your cycle time. So why ya wanna double

I wish you wouldn't have asked why! We had a rush job and the stencil maker used a frame (normally we don't use the frame type) and placed in the frame wrong so in order to get it to work we printed in both direction. So I thought maybe we should do

I would use a spot solder machine. If not, why not spray the mask onto the board? Use a Camalot machine or something similar. Using a stencil over placed components wil yield a thick mask - right? That's why I'd spray.

Thanks a lot for your input. Why do you prefer steel squeegees? We use hard plastic ones.Thanks.

Mrduckmann2000: Why do you want to do this? * Removing a non-washable / peelable temporary solder resist [TSR] is going become very tedious, because they do not release well from small / tight / isolated features. * Clay from washable resists will

Are you saying that increasing the frequency of cleaning to every 3 boards *reduced* bridging, or that it's just something you tried? I don't understand why that would help(in my experience it has reduced "insufficient solder" conditions but not brid

Print then dispense in the areas you need extra paste. Why can you not use a stencil which has areas etched away around component patterns to thin the stencil down....for example a 150 micron thick stencil etched to 120 or 100 microns in specific are

Russ, I tried to get a screen for glue but the design engineer who laid this board out made up his own rules. The 0402 pads are to close for a proper dot size.....per the stencil house. That is why I am going the solder mask route. I would rather

Dear All, In order to understand the soldering technologies in SMT, I'd like to understand why some cards are soldered and then cleaned, or only soldered whitout water cleaning nor "ultra sound" wavelength. I mean that I wonder why we use toxic flu
