| Mario: Interesting analysis. What does "Hand placement versus wrong component should only ave. 20-30 ppm." mean? Is that a subset of errors? Thanks. Dave F | What I mean Dave is that if you have a good (well actualy a great set-up) with all t

Mydata TP9-2 and TP11-UFP difference

Not swapping out feeders....swapping out magazines. It only works well if you have enough extra mags to load all the feeders on. And is a viable solution if your position limited on your machine. Before the advent of Aegis feeders for My machine

Very fishy missing solder paste issue

Electronics Forum | Wed Jul 20 16:08:34 EDT 2005 | grantp

Hi, I think the comment about the board height is because the MYDATA checks the board height each time it loads a tool so this is eliminated from being an issue because the machine knows the PCB height. I don't think it's so much what height the PCB

Mydata Agilis Feeders

Electronics Forum | Fri Jan 07 15:21:09 EST 2005 | OverTheHill

Ya know, funny things, them thar agilis feeders. I remember them at the APEX 2004 show, I could'nt even get the dam tape started on them (really hung over from the night before, but I'm SURE that was NOT the problem). Mydata's big selling point was t

Mydata Agilis Feeders

Electronics Forum | Fri Jan 07 07:09:38 EST 2005 | cyber_wolf

We currently have agilis feeders and TM8 magazines for our Mydata machines. Our operators and set up people seem to dis-like the agilis feeders. When you set up a reel that already has the overlay tape peeled free from the carrier it gets in the way

Mydata centering jaws causing ESD and part damage

Electronics Forum | Mon Nov 10 09:11:51 EST 2014 | rgduval

The centering jaws are made out of copper, I believe...and conductive. I'd suggest that the conductivity of the copper makes it a fairly poor source of ESD damage in a component. I have observed physical damage to components from the centering jaws

Clarissa, Dave had good suggestions. We load several boards manual at this time. We set our components up in clearly marked bins. The documentation includes a chart with the part number, bin number, reference designator and color code for the par

Component orientation

Electronics Forum | Wed Aug 03 20:35:52 EDT 2022 | stephendo

Over simplified generic method. Step 1: make a document with every part shape showing zero orientation. Specify CW or CCW. Step 2: Find every step in the process that does not follow the standardisation and adjust as needed. The best I saw this wor

Re: Barcoding Component Reels

Electronics Forum | Wed Aug 16 05:29:13 EDT 2000 | Charles S.

We have had a similar problem here and looked to using a bar code reader system available from our pick and place machine manufacturer (Siemens) the big downside of this was that we needed to maintain a barcode database for all our components to ensu
