Yes Rick, you are correct, Zevatech HBA, PPM7 & > PPM9 were all designed and built by Swiss. That > was a long long time ago. Sorry, I guess I forgot about those old beasts. Then don't forget about the good old CATs and Microns made by Zevatech

Esec Micron2 vs. RD Automation CDB-50

Electronics Forum | Fri Dec 10 18:02:45 EST 2004 | Sam El.

I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with either the Esec Micron 2 or the RD Automation CDB-50? We currently have a Micron 2 (1997 build). We are using it for small batches of flip chip. We use the waffle pack feeder not the wafer loader.

Thomas, I imagine if you could get everybody's opinion who's worked with vibratory feeders for any length of time, they'll all tell you they basically suck...it's better than nothing when you have to deal with tubed parts, but they still suck. Here's

I would not expect 30 microns to be good enough for flip chip. Maybe I have it wrong, but isn't that +/- 1.5 mils? With bumps on flip chip approaching 3 or 4 mils, I would stay away from a 30 micron machine! | |John, | | Why do not you consider t

Hello, I'm a student assistant in a research project that deals with the simulation of PCB assembly systems. At the moment I collect information about SMDs. My problem is how to assign the correct feeder width to various devices in a simulation. Is

Researching placement machines - where do I start?!

Hello Jeffrey J I could share our experience in using used P& P machine type Philips (Yamaha) and Juki (Zevatech) We had three machines Philips (Yamaha) vintage about1990g, which work till now. They have same type of feeders, which is simple to find

| We are a small contract assembly shop hand placing SMT. We recently received a large contract for SMD that will require placement rates of at least 6,000 CPH. I am looking at Fuji, Mydata, Quad, and Zevatech. I have little experience with automated

|John, Why do not you consider the Philips Powerline concept ? The Powerline consists of the combination of FCM and ACM. These 2 machines represent the best in class in SMD placement. The FCM can accomodate 96 8 mm tapefeeders, while the ACM can ac
