0.15 mm (according to IPC-7351B). from the library expert solder joint goal tables i get different values the bigger the components get (0603 already 0.2, 1206 & 1210 have a 0.25mm toe, and so on

;I tried making footprints for 0805 caps, 1210 caps, 1812 caps... and I never got the feeling that increasing the component height actually had an affect on the pad dimensions.

:15pm I assume there SMT case sizes, where you can get by with one footprint (for all mfr's parts that use that SMT case size)? For example, I plan on having IPC "M" and "N" footprints, for 0603, 0805, 1206, 1210, and larger
