. I can move the origin to the new centroid but the body always generates form the "original" origin of the 10-pin. How can I move the origin that the body uses to generate the assembly/legend/body outlines

(uncheck the button) This feature is in "Library Expert Enterprise", not KiCad. But if you are using "Library Expert Pro" then you can turn off the Centroid crosshair in the Calculator Dimension panel > Drafting > Courtyard >
