. Whether it's a dot or a line doesn't matter as long as there's a consistant style on the board and for a particular customer. Personally on some connectors I add silkcreen to resemble the connector in some way to make it clear

. Connectors make up about 35 - 40% of all packages. And if most of them are unique, you can't use the IPC-7351 Naming Convention. I think we need to separate unique and standard packages

(prevents solder from flowing) and oxidizing the base material. The insulation is a more important issue. I would say the Teflon insulation is OK, but the plastic ones I would say no to, as it will melt

"? "Header, Right Angle Receptacle" is an option, but not a straight vertical version. Another minor issue is that the tail length is not an option for any of the headers.
