.  I've tried plated and non-plated hole but with same results. I know I can put some copper on the top layer but I'd like to figure this out in case I come across a case where that's not an option

.  Smallest placement grid I've use is 0,05mm which is almost twice the line width you will use on a board without having to pay for a premium from most pcb fab house and even then, line width can vary

Plib_ASCII.pdf, I think the last number in the line "COPCLS 10 0.01 1 20" is the linestyle, which should be either -1 or 0. Is this right? Setting the last number 20 to -1 causes DipTrace to come up with a memory exception though
