The Symphony Of Components In An SMT Conformal Coating Line Picture a finely orchestrated symphony, with each instrument playing a unique role in this PCB coating process. The star performers in this lineup include: Transfer Conveyor: These act as the stage where the PCB's journey begins. Think of them as the entry and exit points for your precious boards, allowing a smooth, choreographed dance through the line. 1st Coating Machine: As the first movement in this musical journey, this machine, partnered with the initial curing station, lays down the foundation – applying adhesive to one side of the PCB. Inspection Conveyor: After the initial curing, our inspectors take center stage, using these transfer stations to carefully evaluate the coating's quality. 1st Curing Oven: This is where the magic happens. The first curing oven solidifies the adhesive applied in the previous act, setting the tone for a flawless performance. Flipper Machine: The flipper machine takes the spotlight, gracefully turning the PCB to reveal its other side, ensuring both faces receive their share of adhesion. 2nd Coating Machine: With a newfound perspective, the second coating machine takes the stage, applying adhesive to the reverse side of the PCB. 2nd Curing Oven: The grand finale! The second curing oven brings our symphony to a breathtaking close, solidifying the adhesive applied in the second act, creating a harmonious, dual-sided masterpiece. Efficiency Meets Dual-Side Coating This SMT conformal coating line is like a well-choreographed ballet that requires at least two dancers. One stands at the front, carefully loading PCBs onto the stage, guiding them through the first act. After the flip, the second dancer carries them through the second act, with both sides perfectly coated, ensuring a flawless performance for applications requiring dual-sided adhesion. UV Curing Oven For Illuminating Results For applications that embrace UV-curable adhesives, our line includes UV curing ovens, adding a layer of brilliance to the process and ensuring an efficient solidification of adhesives. Transfer Stations With A Touch Of Magic Within this symphony, the transfer stations wear a touch of magic – the second and fourth stations feature enchanting blue glass covers illuminated by embedded LED lights. With the onset of 1900’s, the novelty of printed circuits boards got started with a profound concept of constructing an electrical path on an isolated surface of a board. The initial trend of printed circuit board got into a vain to develop and upgrade the radios and gramophones. Gradually the notion of ‘Through Hole Technique’ came into picture to produce a double sided PCB. In mid 1990’s the idea of auto assembly process was introduced by PCB Manufacturer USA. This was a point of modern touch to enhance the fabrication process with automated soldering technique. The research and development picked up a pace for end to end electronic solutions for defense and US army.

1.Vias near SMD pads: Solder can flow into the via after melted. As a result cold joint will appear in the end. Check the picture below. 2.Vias on SMD pads: Solder can flow into the via more easier after melted. Check the picture below. 3.Via opening without soldermask covered. When workers solder TH parts by hand, soldering iron can touch vias sometime, then tiny amounts molten solder will stay on vias. This can lead to electrical short easily. We recommend you make all vias tenting (covered by solder mask) if it is possible.

The true integration of electronics into textiles requires the fabrication of devices directly on the fibre itself using high-performance materials that allow seamless incorporation into fabrics. Woven electronics and opto-electronics, attained by intertwined fibres with complementary functions are the emerging and most ambitious technological and scientific frontier. Here we demonstrate graphene-enabled functional devices directly fabricated on textile fibres and attained by weaving graphene electronic fibres in a fabric. Capacitive touch-sensors and light-emitting devices were produced using a roll-to-roll-compatible patterning technique, opening new avenues for woven textile electronics. Finally, the demonstration of fabric-enabled pixels for displays and position sensitive functions is a gateway for novel electronic skin, wearable electronic and smart textile applications.

Printed Electronics is generally defined as the patterning of electronic materials, in solution form, onto flexible substrates, omitting any use of the photolithography, etching, and plating steps commonly found within the Printed Circuit Board (PCB) industry. The origins of printed electronics go back to the 1960s, and close variants of several original applications and market segments remain active today. Through the 1980s and 1990s Printed Electronic applications based on Membrane Touch Switch and Electroluminescent lighting technologies became common, and the screen printed electronic materials used then have formed the building blocks for many of the current and emerging technologies and applications... Work instructions are time consuming to generate for engineers, often requiring regeneration from scratch to address very minor changes. They need to be produced in varying levels of detail, with varying guidelines, for multiple stations, operators and lines. Minor component, station or process changes – down to the modification of an individual BOM component – can cause headaches when attempting to maintain consistency across multiple work instructions that are touched by the change. The solution presented here improves efficiency and saves engineering time by making use of a database driven approach. Manufacturing details, component information, process guidelines, annotations, machine-specific data, and more can be stored in one central database. Any information stored in this single repository can then be modified quickly in one location and automatically propagate seamlessly throughout multiple work instructions. These can be instantly printed out or displayed on screens at appropriately affected stations with the simple click of a button, as opposed to regenerating from scratch, or going in and reviewing many documents to find and update with the change.

In PCB circuit assemblies the trend is moving to more SMD components with finer pitch connections. The majority of the assemblies still have a small amount of through hole (THT) components. Some of them can't withstand high reflow temperatures, while others are there because of their mechanical robustness. In automotive applications these THT components are also present. Many products for cars, including steering units, radio and navigation, and air compressors also use THT technology to connect board-to-board, PCB's to metal shields or housings out of plastic or even aluminium. This is not a simple 2D plain soldering technology, as it requires handling, efficient thermal heating and handling of heavy (up to 10 kg) parts. Soldering technology becomes more 3D where connections have to be made on different levels. For this technology robots using solder wire fail because of the spattering of the flux in the wires and the long cycle time. In wave soldering using pallets the wave height is limited and pin in paste reflow is only a 2D application with space limitations. Selective soldering using dedicated plates with nozzles on the solder area is the preferred way to make these connections. All joints can be soldered in one dip resulting in short cycle times. Additional soldering on a small select nozzle can make the system even more flexible. The soldering can only be successful when there is enough thermal heat in the assembly before the solder touches the board. A forced convection preheat is a must for many applications to bring enough heat into the metal and board materials. The challenge in a dip soldering process is to get a sufficient hole fill without bridging and minimize the number of solder balls. A new cover was designed to improve the nitrogen environment. Reducing oxygen levels benefits the wetting, but increases the risk for solder balling. Previous investigations showed that solder balling can be minimized by selecting proper materials for solder resist and flux.
